Shawnee Smith, born July 3, 1970, and weighing 5'3 inches, is an American performer and singer. Smith's most well-known roles include as Amanda Young and Linda on the CBS sitcom Becker. Smith previously played in the band metal Fydolla Ho. They played in both throughout the United States and the United Kingdom and is half of Smith & Pyle a desert country rock band that includes the actress Missi Pyle. Shawnee Smith was born in Orangeburg South Carolina the second child of Patricia M. Smith, a nurse in oncology as well as Jim Smith a financial planner and former US Air Force pilot. The Smith family relocated out of South Carolina to Van Nuys California in the year she turned one year old. Her parents divorced at the age of two and her mother remarried when she was 8.
